UWBC Reaches Goal at Victory Celebration!

They came, they saw, they stood up . . . for United Way.
The theme of standing up for the people of Blount County threaded its way throughout the Victory celebration held at the First United Methodist Church of Maryville that included 200 donors, volunteers and agency representatives. Campaign Chairman Lea Anne Law announced that United Way of Blount County was the first United Ways in East Tennessee to reach its campaign goal to date with a total as of Friday of $1,940,000 which was 2% over the 2010 United Way campaign. It just doesnt seem fair that I get to stand up here before you and announce final totals when so much of the work was done by so many people who gave their all, said Law, as she welcomed the crowd. You dont raise this kind of money without the support of a community of people who care about each other. Law recognized a number of people including
